We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg Tele travel nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin. This role is ideal for a clinician who thrives in a dynamic hospital environment, enjoys bedside nursing, and is comfortable floating as needed. A telemetry assessment is required prior to start.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
• Previous telemetry nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification through AHA only
• Prior travel RN experience required
• Ability to pass a telemetry exam prior to start
• Comfortable with weekend and holiday rotation based on operational need
• Must be able to float to other units as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Med/Surg Tele unit
• Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and support common acute care interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes
• Document accurately and efficiently in Epic while maintaining timely charting standards
• Care for patients with a variety of medical-surgical and telemetry needs
• Adapt to floating assignments and contribute to unit coverage as needed
• Maintain professionalism, strong communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital environment
