- Schedule: Day and evening coverage with weekend and holiday rotation based on operational need
- Orientation: 20 hours
- Floating: Required as needed to other units
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
Job Requirements
- Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
- Current BLS certification from AHA
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience within the last 3 years
- Epic charting experience required
- Telemetry RN experience and successful completion of a telemetry test prior to start
- Strong Med/Surg and MS/Tele clinical skills, including dysrhythmia interpretation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative inpatient hospital environment
- Comfortable floating to other units as needed based on patient care demands
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to adult and geriatric Med/Surg Telemetry patients
- Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and manage common therapies, including insulin, heparin, and PCA
- Support post-operative and medically complex patients with a variety of diagnoses
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver coordinated, evidence-based care
- Perform interventions such as IV management, wound care, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive team environment
- Float to other hospital units as needed to support patient care delivery
