Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Med/Surg Tele Float position requiring a PA or compact license, with at least 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Float position within the MS/Tele unit, floating within scope to meet facility needs
• Patient ratios range from 1:4 to 1:8 using team nursing model
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• No block scheduling available

Requirements

• Active RN license (PA or Compact) required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• NIHSS, TCAR, and TCRN certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with 1:4-8 patient ratios required

Additional Information

• Care for patients on telemetry and medical-surgical units, including cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and orthopedic cases
• Skills in IV therapy, central/peripheral line management, and cardiac drip management preferred
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and rapid response team coordination preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• Former Guthrie Healthcare System employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• RTO requests of 5 days or less are preferred
