Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring a PA or compact license and prior telemetry float experience.

Details

Float position within the Med/Surg Telemetry unit, floating within scope to meet facility needs
Patient ratios range from 1:4-1:8 under a team nursing model
Night shift schedule (3x12 hours), 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Every other weekend required
No on-call requirements
No block scheduling accommodations offered
Epic charting system used

Requirements

Active RN license (PA or Compact) required
BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
NIHSS, TCAR, and TCRN certifications preferred
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Experience with 1:4-8 patient ratios required
Epic charting experience required

Additional Information

Care for patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit, floating to meet facility staffing needs
Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and IV therapy are valuable
Experience with respiratory care, isolation precautions, and cardiovascular monitoring is beneficial
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Preferred RTO of 5 days or less
Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
Former Guthrie Healthcare System employees must be separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
