Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a MS/ICU float position requiring at least one year of critical care experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• MS/ICU unit with MS as the primary assignment and floating to ICU as needed
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 18:30 to 07:00
• Telemetry work setting
• Weekend rotation required every third weekend
• Floating within the site and across the health system is required

Requirements

• Active Oregon RN license or proof of Oregon license application and fingerprinting required
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEARS, and NIHSS
• Epic EMR experience required, including completion of an Epic Test-Out Module
• One professional reference required from a Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager, preferably within the last year
• No felony convictions accepted

Additional Information

• Must be willing and able to work Thanksgiving and one additional holiday, including holiday eves
• Refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
• Required to complete any assigned education within one week of starting the assignment
• Subject to low census mandatory cancellation policy, including possible cancellation of one shift per two-week pay period without cause or penalty
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application
• Former staff must be separated from the facility or system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local travelers are not accepted and candidates may not reside within 50 miles of any facility within the health system
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position
