Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN to float between Medical Surgical and ICU units on night shifts, requiring Epic experience and OR RN licensure.

Details

• Medical Surgical unit as primary assignment with required floating to ICU as needed
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (18:30-7:00)
• Telemetry work setting
• Weekend rotation required every 3rd weekend
• Floating within site and across the health system as required

Requirements

• Active Oregon RN license (or proof of application and fingerprinting) required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• BLS certification required; PALS/PEARS preferred
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required, including completion of an Epic Test-Out Module
• One professional reference from a Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager required, preferably within the last year
• No felony convictions accepted; any background hits require explanation and waiver documentation

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care across Medical Surgical and ICU units as assigned
• Must be willing and able to work Thanksgiving plus one additional holiday, including holiday eves
• Refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
• Required to complete assigned education within one week of assignment start
• Subject to mandatory low census cancellation policy, up to one shift per two-week pay period without cause or penalty
• Must cancel at least 1.5 hours before shift start in low census situations
• Compliance documentation must be completed by the Wednesday prior to start date
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of assignment
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside more than 50 miles from any facility within the health system
• Former staff must be separated from the facility/system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• COVID vaccination documentation required with no exemptions accepted
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this assignment
