Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an MRI Technologist for a facility located in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position involves working in a facility with a stroke center that is not trauma designated and does not operate as a teaching hospital. The role offers rotating shift times and requires providing advanced imaging services for a diverse patient population, including pediatric and geriatric cases. The MRI Technologist will be responsible for operating MRI equipment, ensuring patient safety, and supporting departmental workflows.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, approximately 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: 1 year of MRI experience minimum, including acute or outpatient settings. Valid BLS and ARRT-MR certifications.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with patient types such as stroke, internal auditory canal, pituitary, feet, abdomen, brains, total spines, defecography, urograms, enterography, and familiarity with MRI safety protocols.

  • Additional Information:
    • Support within the department includes a transporter until 2300, MRI assistant during day/night shifts, lead MRI technician during the day, and available support via phone during night shifts.
    • The position may involve solo MRI technician work for night shifts, with IV skills preferred.
    • Orientation includes up to 3 weeks for day shifts or 1 week for night shifts, with unit-specific training on GE Cigna Artist 1.5 and MR 400 tele monitor.
    • The schedule involves a weekend rotation, on-call requirements with a 1-hour response time, and every other holiday work.
    • Scrub color is black; parking is free.
    • The facility utilizes EPIC electronic medical records and ViewPACs for imaging.
