Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Intensive Care Unit – Everett, WA 98201

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Everett, Washington

Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 Day shifts (06:30 - 19:00), 60 guaranteed hours per 2-week period. Weekend coverage required. Floating to telemetry units may be required based on census needs.

Highlights:

• High-acuity, fast-paced Medical Intensive Care Unit at a Level II Trauma Center with 571 total beds
• Care for medically complex, critically ill patients including respiratory failure, multisystem organ failure, cardiac arrest with TTM, CVA post-TPA, ARDS, and DKA
• Standard 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio with CNA support on each shift
• Participate in bedside procedures including central and arterial line placements, chest tube placement, rapid sequence intubation, and code blue responses
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Epic charting system with 24-40 hours of orientation provided

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of recent MICU or SICU experience required; at least 2 years preferred for first-time travelers
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• 2 hours of stroke-specific education annually
• Level II Trauma Center experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Proficiency in ventilator management, vasoactive drip titration, arterial line management, central line care, and critical care procedures
• Experience with 2:1 patient ratios in critical care settings
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
