Registered Nurse - MedSurg / Telemetry

Job Overview

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care in a challenging and dynamic environment, demonstrating expertise in telemetry and neuro patient management.

Schedule

• Days: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Total Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift Length: 3 shifts of 12 hours each
• Every other weekend and holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients in telemetry and neuro units.
• Provide care based on established nursing protocols and procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans and progress.
• Participate in floating to similar units when necessary.
• Complete a telemetry competency test on the first day of orientation.

Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• BLS certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association) required.
• Experience in telemetry and neuro nursing is essential.
• Travel nursing experience is required.
• Meditech experience is preferred.
