Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN specializing in Med/Surg Telemetry in Portland, ME. This contract position offers an opportunity to work night shifts in a dynamic healthcare environment. • Float Requirements: Yes - IMC RNs may float to another IMC level of care unit within the facility. Med/surg RNs may float to another med/surg unit with a similar level of care based on unit need and skill.

Education & Certifications Required:

• BLS Certification
• MMC mandatory onboarding education

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 43
• Patient Ratios: Day Shift Med/Surg 1:4-5, Night Shift Med/Surg 1:5-6, Day and Night IMC 3:1
• Equipment: Ventilators, BiPaP, CPAP, CPAP, Nasal Cannula, Non-Rebreather, Epidural pumps, IV pumps, specialty beds, PCA pumps, VAC dressings, Trach care/maintenance
• EMR: Epic

Hiring Profile:

• Must Have Skills/Experience: IMC RNs must have Vent experience; all RNs must have experience with tracheostomies and interpreting telemetry strips
• Type of Patients on Unit: Respiratory, Medical Telemetry, some surgical, sepsis, DKA, Altered Mental Status, Failure to Thrive, Respiratory Failure, and various acute on chronic medical conditions
• Personality Fit: Teamwork, flexibility, good communication, patient-centered care
