Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) nurses are needed for a healthcare organizations inpatient units. This position involves supporting multiple medical surgical units, including specialized areas such as neurology, cardiac, bariatric, and oncology. The role requires flexibility with rotating day and night shifts, every other weekend, and holiday coverage, with assignments lasting 2-3 weeks at a time. Candidates must have valid registration as a Registered Nurse and at least three years of related work experience.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shifts with 12-hour shifts, averaging 36 hours per week, including days, evenings, and nights, with every other weekend.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, three or more years of related work experience, CPR-AHA certification, ACLS-AHA certification, basic computer navigation skills, and Epic electronic medical record experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area expertise, Level I trauma experience.
- Additional Information: Orientation is held weekly, every Monday barring a holiday. All request for time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application with no more than three days requested. The position supports a float pool covering 15 medical surgical units with a variety of specialties, including neurology, cardiac, bariatric, and transplant. Travel nurses are assigned to units in two- to three-week blocks with some last-minute assignment notifications. Scrubs in any color are acceptable. Parking may cost up to $43 per day; public transportation is available.
