Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring Level I Trauma experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details

• Work in the Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit of a large hospital environment
• Level I Trauma Center setting with short-term acute care
• Team nursing model with a 1:7 patient ratio, supported by PCC and other RN staff
• Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• 13-week assignment length
• Weekend coverage required on a rotating, as-needed basis
• On-call responsibilities as needed
• Floating may occur between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state or a compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in this specialty required, 3+ years preferred
• At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• ADN accepted for this position
• Driver's license copy required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care within a team nursing model
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered, with a strict radius rule enforced
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Former permanent staff or travelers must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall during the assignment, must be willing to work 2 of the 3 holidays
• If only 2 of these holidays fall during the assignment, must be willing to work at least 1 of the 2
• All requested time off must be submitted for consideration, as RTO submitted after an offer is presented will not be honored
