Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS/Tele) RN position located in a short term acute care facility. This role involves providing patient care across various units, including medical-surgical, telemetry, and potentially emergency or ICU, within a dynamic team environment. The position offers the opportunity to work in a healthcare setting that values flexibility, clinical expertise, and patient-centered care.
Job Details
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Education Requirements: Valid State License; compact license must be in hand at submission
- Experience Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in the US healthcare system; charge nurse experience preferred but not required
- Location Requirements: Must have experience in the US; Canadian experience alone will not qualify
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week
- Additional Responsibilities: May include charge nurse duties on small units, managing staffing needs, bed flow, and general coordination
- Additional Unit Information: Nurse to patient ratio varies from 1:4 to 1:6 depending on unit acuity. The position supports interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
- Special Equipment and Skills: Cardiac telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, PPE, management of dysrhythmias, nasal cannula, telemetry monitoring, and experience with EPIC charting system.
- Additional Conditions: Must be flexible with floating responsibilities to support various units, and available to work scheduled holidays as required.
