Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS/Tele) Nurse, available in the healthcare facility, provides compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients across diverse units including medical surgical, telemetry, and emergency services. The role involves floating to fill staffing needs, with some charge responsibilities on small units, requiring adaptability and strong clinical skills.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Qualifications: Valid state license (compact acceptable), at least 1 year of experience, certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and experience with cardiac telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, PPE, and management of dysrhythmias.
- Responsibilities: Providing direct patient care, supporting interdisciplinary teams, and potentially assuming charge nurse duties on small units, managing staffing and bed flow coordination.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in US healthcare settings, prior float experience, and familiarity with EPIC charting system.
- Additional Information: Charge nurse experience is required; experience in Canadian healthcare alone does not qualify. Candidates must have worked at a healthcare provider facility previously and provide two references covering one year within the last three years. Must be willing to work three of the five major holidays and adhere to scheduling and RTO requirements.
