Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry registered nurse position in a hospital setting, specializing in caring for patients with advanced pulmonary conditions such as pneumonia and COPD. The role involves nights, with scheduled shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including every other weekend, holiday rotation, and the potential to float to similar units based on facility needs.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Licensed as a Registered Nurse with a valid state license, a minimum of 2 years experience in medical surgical with telemetry specialty, BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross), and can obtain NYS license and Nursys verification before start date. Prior travel experience is preferred but not required.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: No block scheduling; no self-scheduling; RTO considerations based on specific criteria. Orientation sessions are held once a month, with the next scheduled for 10/26. The unit comprises 32 beds with a nurse/patient ratio of approximately 1:5-7, caring for patients with complex respiratory needs such as trachs, bipap, cpap, drips, and infusion therapies. Nurses may assist with transports, IV starts, phlebotomy, and ICU transfers as needed.
