Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry registered nurse position available in a facility setting. This role involves providing patient care on a 32-bed unit specialized in surgical and medical patients requiring advanced pulmonary care, including ventilator management, IV therapy, and other complex nursing procedures. The position features a day shift schedule with every other weekend requirement, holiday rotation, and float responsibilities.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: RN licensure in New York State, BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, Nursys within 6 months, and a minimum of two (2) years experience in the specialty. Prior travel experience is preferred but not required.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: No block scheduling. Orientation sessions occur once a month, next available on 10/26. The unit primarily handles surgical and medical patients with complex pulmonary needs, utilizing advanced equipment such as IV pumps, telemonitoring, and ventilator support. Nursing tasks include IV starts and maintenance, phlebotomy, patient transport, oxygen weaning, and inhaler management.
