Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) profession in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position involves providing patient care on a unit specializing in medical and surgical cases with telemetry monitoring. The role requires adapting to a family-oriented unit culture and supporting a diverse patient population with various diagnoses.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, and at least 18 months of medical-surgical experience with telemetry.
- Preferred Qualifications: EPIC electronic medical record system experience, acute care MedSurg experience.
- Float: Float rotation may be required within the region and scope of practice, including facilities in Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, and Central Division. Float to other listed facilities will be paid for mid-shift travel time.
- Support within the Department: Includes a dedicated case manager, clinical nurse specialists, hospitalist support 24/7, nurse educator, and other clinical support staff.
- Technology/Equipment: Experience with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing system, and Philips monitors is required. Rovers and communication tools are utilized within the unit.
- Orientation: Two days of departmental orientation with additional facility-specific onboarding at the New Employee Orientation (NEO).
- Additional Notes: Scrub color options include navy blue for RN, teal blue for LPN, and burgundy for CNA. Parking is free. The unit fosters a family-oriented environment focused on patient care and teamwork.
