Job Summary

Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) registered nurse position located in Concord, North Carolina. This role involves providing patient care in a high-acuity environment, managing a diverse patient population with chronic diseases, cardiac conditions, and post-surgical needs. The position requires clinical flexibility, adherence to safety protocols, and teamwork within a dynamic healthcare setting.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience as a Med/Tele RN, active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications, valid North Carolina nursing license, and a minimum of 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation, management of non-titrating cardiac drips including Cardizem and Amiodarone, IV starts, wound care, and blood product administration.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required; travel nurses will support staffing needs across multiple units and facilities within the designated region. Flexibility to provide care on different units such as ICU, Emergency Department, or Medical-Surgical holds is essential.
  • Support within the Department: Nurse Manager, Clinical Supervisor, staff RNs, CNA, Clinical Mentor, Rapid Response RN, House Supervisor.
  • Technology/Equipment: EMR: EPIC; department-specific equipment including scales, GBS machine, transfer devices, vein finder, EKG, crash cart, language interpreter, tele-medicine cart, doppler.
  • Orientation: 2 days departmental orientation.
  • Region: Assigned to support facilities within Region 1, including Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, and other regional sites as needed. Floating to all listed facilities within region is required.
  • RTO (Request for Time Off): Up to 6 days off can be approved, excluding holidays; additional time may be added at the end of the contract if needed to meet scheduled hours.
  • Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work approximately 75% of holidays.
  • Other Notes: Scrub color is Navy Blue. Parking is free. Department culture emphasizes teamwork and accountability.
