Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) position in a general medical unit located in a healthcare facility. This role involves caring for adult patients with various medical conditions, utilizing standard nursing skills and telemetry monitoring. The shift is scheduled during daytime hours, and the assignment duration spans from October 12, 2026, to January 11, 2027.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN certification, current licensure, and at least 1 year of recent acute med/surg experience within the last year.
- Preferred Qualifications: Over 2 years of experience working with neuro patients, cerebrovascular accident (CVA) patients, transient ischemic attack (TIA), altered mental status (AMS), or candidates with neuro/neuro-surgery or orthopedic backgrounds. Experience in med/surg/telemetry units is also advantageous.
- Responsibilities: Providing care to med/surg patients, utilizing standard nursing procedures such as IV insertions, urinary catheter management, central line care, medication administration, documentation in electronic health records, and telemetry monitoring.
- Additional Information: The unit accommodates 22 beds, with a staff of approximately 30, including nurses, patient care assistants, unit secretaries, and sitters. The team follows standard EMR systems (Meditech) and unit policies, with a friendly and patient-centered personality preferred.
