Job Summary
Telemetry Nurse, Corpus Christi, TX This position involves providing specialized nursing care to telemetry patients in a medical-surgical setting on the night shift. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care, performing routine procedures, and ensuring patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Job Details
- Unit Information: 8 inpatient beds with the capacity to flex up to 12 beds depending on hospital census.
- Staffing: Approximately 10 staff on the unit including charge nurses, RNs, and Pediatric Care Assistants (PCAs).
- Patient Ratios: Maximum of 6:1.
- Typical Nursing Skills: IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion/maintenance, central line maintenance, medication administration, documentation in electronic health records, communication with care team.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, at least 1 year of acute med/surg or telemetry experience within the last year, ability to care for 4-6 patients concurrently, and meet the minimum experience requirement of 0 years.
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Candidates should possess friendly, positive, patient-centered, and team-focused personalities. Rotation includes weekends and on-call duties as needed.
