Job Requirements

• Active Tennessee RN license or compact license
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
• At least 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
• Comfort working with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Ability to float to other qualified units as needed
• Experience with common med-surg and telemetry procedures, patient monitoring, and clinical support skills preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric Med/Surg Telemetry patients
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, complete assessments, and coordinate plan-of-care activities
• Support common med-surg nursing needs including IV management, blood product administration, wound care, and post-operative care
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, efficient patient care
• Float to like units within skill set and demonstrated competencies when required
• Document accurately in EPIC and follow unit standards, protocols, and patient safety procedures
• Maintain professionalism, flexibility, and a patient-centered approach throughout the assignment
