• Patient Ratio: 6:1 on days, 7:1 on nights and weekends
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Charting System: Epic EMR experience preferred
• Orientation: Required prior to start

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• At least 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Strong clinical skills in telemetry monitoring and medical-surgical nursing
• Experience floating to similar inpatient units as needed
• Comfortable caring for adult and geriatric patients
• First-time travelers may be considered based on experience

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate care to medical telemetry patients in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
• Support patients receiving pre- and post-op care, including post–heart cath recovery
• Perform bedside procedures such as dialysis catheter care, thoracentesis support, and I&D care as appropriate
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams to support high-quality patient outcomes
• Float to similar units when needed to support census and staffing demands
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow all unit protocols
