Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg Tele nursing experience required
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and telemetry monitoring preferred
• Ability to safely care for adult and geriatric patients
• Comfort working a rotating schedule and floating within the organization as needed
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative team approach
• Ability to meet compliance deadlines and credentialing requirements promptly

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside care to Med/Surg Tele patients with diverse medical needs
• Monitor telemetry, interpret rhythm changes, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and ordered treatments safely and accurately
• Manage common medical-surgical nursing tasks such as Foley care, PICC line support, IV antibiotics, and chest tube-related care
• Support patients with conditions including opioid abuse, organ failure, altered mental status, and behavioral health-related needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response resources
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to a safe, efficient patient care environment
• Float to other units within the organization as needed based on staffing and patient care needs
