Medical Surgical (MS) Nurse in Sheboygan County, WI. This position involves working in a Level IV Trauma Center with a primary focus on general medical-surgical patient care. The role includes floating across various Medical Surgical units, including Oncology, Orthopedic, Neuro, and Cardiac, with scheduled shifts during nights.
Job Details
- Position Description: The role is for a Medical Surgical Nurse in a float pool setting, providing care to a diverse patient population including general medical, surgical, oncology, orthopedic, neuro, and cardiac patients. The position requires flexibility to float to multiple units as needed.
- Required Qualifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; 2 years of Med-Surg experience; proficiency with IV skills, chest tubes, stable trach management, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and EPIC electronic medical record system.
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The schedule is made 4-6 weeks in advance, with weekend rotation every other week and potential holiday work up to 50%.
- Additional Information: New hires complete a full orientation shift, followed by unit-specific orientation. The environment is traveler-friendly with strong teamwork, and scrub colors are to be solid and professional. Parking is free.
