The role is ideal for first-time travel nurses with at least two years of MedSurg experience, offering opportunities to float across multiple units including General Medical Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Neuro, and Cardiac.

Job Details

  • Location: Sheboygan County, WI
  • Schedule: Days or Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a schedule made 4-6 weeks in advance, averaging 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; 2 years of MedSurg experience; ability to float to various units, including ER Holding/Boarding; valid license in the state of Wisconsin.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with chest tubes, stable trach management, IV skills, port/central lines, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and titrating drips such as Cardizem, amiodarone, insulin, and argatroean will be advantageous.
  • Responsibilities: Delivering comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment, supporting unit functions, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
  • Support on the Unit: Phlebotomy skills, vitals, blood glucose monitoring, peripheral lab draws, and communication via EPIC EMR.
  • Additional Information: Orientation includes a full shift login, with initial training and unit-specific briefings. Floating may occur across inpatient units, including ER Holding/Boarding. Weekend rotations are every other week, with potential holiday shifts up to 50%. The facility promotes a traveler-friendly and team-oriented culture, with free parking provided.
