Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a float pool position on night shift requiring 2 years of experience and prior travel assignment experience.

Details

• Medical Surgical float pool unit
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Epic charting system experience required
• Floating required across medical surgical units

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) in hand
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ASN required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, and blood product administration
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, and tracheostomy management preferred
• Experience in cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and dysrhythmia management preferred
• Experience with wound care and wound vac management

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care across Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Short Stay, Orthopedics, and Cardiovascular patient populations
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• First-time travelers considered depending on experience level
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a reduced local rate
