Job Requirements

• Active RN license required; compact license must be in hand at submission if applicable
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Strong clinical background in telemetry monitoring and med/surg care
• Ability to work every other weekend and remain flexible with scheduling needs
• Ability to support adult and geriatric patient populations
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation, heparin protocols, IV therapy, and central line care preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients in an acute care setting
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and identify changes in patient condition promptly
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies according to policy and best practice
• Manage oxygen therapy, feeding tubes, peripheral IVs, central lines, and PICC lines
• Perform wound care and support patients with a variety of medical-surgical needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, physical therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
• Respond appropriately to rapid response and code situations when needed
• Float to other acute care units and nearby sister facilities as required
• Document care accurately in Epic and maintain a strong standard of patient safety
