• Hours Per Week: 36
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,740 - $1,840
• Schedule Notes: Every other weekend required; may float to other acute care departments and nearby sister facilities as needed
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; compact license must be in hand at submission
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Previous Med/Surg Telemetry experience preferred
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Seasoned traveler preferred; at least one previous contract required
• Ability to work every other weekend and commit to 3 of 5 major holidays
• Willingness to float to other acute care units when needed
• Strong references may be requested during the compliance process

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate care to adult and geriatric Med/Surg Tele patients
• Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
• Perform assessments, document care accurately in Epic, and communicate updates to the care team
• Support common telemetry and medical-surgical interventions, including IV management, oxygen therapy, and blood product administration
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Participate in rapid response or code team activations when necessary
• Float to other acute care departments as assigned to meet patient care needs
• Maintain a professional, patient-centered approach in a busy hospital setting
