Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical team. The ideal candidate will have experience in acute care and a passion for providing exceptional patient care.
Unit Information
Location: Arlington, TX
- Number of Beds: 29
- Number of Staff: 42
- Patient Ratios: 6:1
Shift Details
- Schedules: No blocked scheduling
- Shift Hours: 7 AM - 7 PM
- Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
- Weekends: Every other weekend required
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patient health status and vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding health management.
- Perform procedures including abdominal fluid removal and central line placements.
Qualifications
Required Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in acute care preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in neuro med/surg and general medicine and orthopedics.
Personality Fit
The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for patient care and have a friendly disposition. A people-oriented approach is essential for success in this role.
Additional Information
Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs are required. Please note that sweat/tee shirts, crocs, artificial nails, and extreme hair colors are not permitted.
Floating Areas: Candidates should be open to floating to inpatient med/surg units as needed.
