Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – Pocatello, ID 83201

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Pocatello, Idaho

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), weekend coverage required (2 shifts per pay period, flexible with department needs). Patient ratio 1:6. Float required as long as competencies are met.

Highlights:

• 91-day travel assignment in a 48-bed Medical/Surgical unit with diverse patient population
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Work with a variety of patient diagnoses including sepsis, COPD, trauma, cardiac conditions, post-operative care, and respiratory failure
• Epic charting system with 24-36 hours of orientation provided
• Opportunity to utilize advanced skills including PICC line management, wound care, BiPAP/CPAP, blood product administration, and central line management
• One pre-approved time off period available during contract

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact license must be in hand at time of application)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius from location
• Proficiency in Med/Surg skills including IV management, wound care, isolation precautions, oxygen administration, and various specialized procedures
