Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – Pocatello, ID 83201

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Pocatello, Idaho

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), with weekend coverage required (2 shifts per pay period, flexible with department needs). Patient ratio 1:6. Float to other units as needed based on competencies.

• 91-day travel assignment in a dynamic Medical Surgical unit with 48-bed capacity
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Diverse patient population with varied diagnoses including sepsis, COPD, trauma, post-operative care, cardiac conditions, diabetes, and respiratory failure
• Epic charting system with 24-36 hours of orientation provided
• Opportunity to utilize advanced skills including central line management, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, wound vac, tracheostomy care, and blood product administration
• One pre-approved time off period available during contract

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact) required at time of submission
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius from location
• Proficiency in accessing/managing ports, central lines, chest tubes, insulin administration, isolation precautions, IV management, PCA pumps, and wound care
