Schedule:

Night shift, weekdays and weekends. Choice of 3x12 or 4x12 schedule. Unit will accommodate scheduling requests when possible, though specific days cannot be guaranteed.

Highlights:

• 13-week assignment with possibility of extension
• 34-bed acute medical-surgical unit with daily census of 25-30 patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-7
• Cerner EMR system
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Diverse patient population with complex medical-surgical diagnoses including post-operative care, stroke management, wound care, and respiratory support

Requirements:

• Active RN license (West Virginia or Compact state; pending licenses accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (must be American Heart Association)
• Proficiency with Cerner charting system required
• Experience with medical-surgical skills including blood product administration, IV management, wound care, chest tube management, tracheostomy care, and interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias
• Minimum of 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
• Permanent address must be at least 75-100 miles from the facility
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Reliable attendance is essential; excessive call-offs may result in contract termination
