Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 shifts, Nights 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, weekdays with every other weekend coverage

Highlights:

• 12-bed inpatient oncology unit with medical-surgical overflow
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6, providing manageable caseloads
• 13-week initial contract with extension opportunities available
• Oncology experience preferred but not required; excellent growth opportunity
• Blocked scheduling available for better work-life balance
• Cerner EMR system experience preferred

Requirements:

• Current RN License (West Virginia or Compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• NIHSS certification required
• ONS chemo/bio certification and OCN preferred
• IV insertion skills required
• Must reside 100+ miles from the facility (candidates between 75-100 miles may be considered)
• Minimum 2 professional references from managers or charge nurses within the past 2 years
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Patient Care Details:

• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Daily census of approximately 10 patients
• Chemotherapy administration and port management
• Post-surgical care and wound management
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams

Professional Expectations:

• Reliable attendance is critical; maximum of 2-3 call-offs per contract period
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Non-billable online modules (approximately 8 hours) must be completed prior to start date
• Two pre-approved time-off requests permitted during contract
