Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a fast-paced 30-bed Medical ICU requiring 3 years of critical care experience and Level 1 trauma center background.

Details

• Medical ICU with 30 beds in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Patient population includes sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, alcohol/substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy
• Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Deferred schedule type with 36 guaranteed weekly hours
• No on-call requirements
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling typically not approved

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
• Experience with ventilators and central lines (dips) required
• Proven experience in high-volume, high-acuity hospital settings managing complex trauma cases
• Prior experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals not accepted
