ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated ICU Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced 30-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This unit provides comprehensive care for a diverse patient population, including those with sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, alcohol use/abuse, substance use disorders, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluate patients' conditions regularly.
  • Administer medications and perform interventions as ordered by physicians.
  • Provide respiratory support, including the management of ventilators.
  • Monitor and document patients' progress and responses to treatment.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
  • Educate patients and families regarding medical conditions and treatment plans.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of ICU nursing experience.
  • Current ACLS and BLS certification required.
  • Proficient in managing ventilators and patient monitoring systems.
  • Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment

This position requires working in a fast-paced medical environment, delivering care to critically ill patients. Candidates must be adaptable and able to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a focus on patient-centered care.
