Position Overview:

We are seeking a strong and experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a 33-bed cardiac telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will have strong Med-Surg/Telemetry experience and recent Charge Nurse experience, with the confidence and clinical judgment to take charge of the unit during their shift.

MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS:

• 2+ years of recent RN experience in Med-Surg/Telemetry
• 2+ years of recent Charge Nurse experience
• Must be comfortable and willing to take charge on shift
• ACLS and BLS required
• Epic experience within the last 12 months
  • Resume must clearly identify where Epic was used during the past year
• Phlebotomy experience within the last 12 months
  • Must be clearly listed on the resume
• Recent experience drawing blood
• Experience starting and maintaining IVs
• Strong cardiac/Telemetry nursing experience
• Must be willing to float
• Nursing degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program
• Must be able to work every other weekend and holidays

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiac telemetry patients
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms
• Perform patient assessments and ongoing clinical monitoring
• Administer medications and treatments
• Perform phlebotomy/blood draws
• Start and maintain IV access
• Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Serve as Charge Nurse and oversee unit operations when assigned
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and leadership
• Float to other units as required
• Maintain safe patient care within approximately 1:5–6 ratios

RTO & Scheduling Requirements:

• RTO must be provided at the time of submission
• Maximum 7 days of RTO accepted
• No RTO during the first two weeks of the assignment
• RTO requested after submission will not be accepted
• Block schedules may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Travelers must be available to work every other weekend and holidays

Critical Resume Requirements:

Epic and phlebotomy experience within the last 12 months MUST be clearly documented on the resume. Candidates without the required recent Epic and phlebotomy experience will not be considered.
