Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry position in Chicago, IL, requiring 2+ years of MS/Tel experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• First to float to other MS/Tel units
• No on-call requirements
• 8-week contract length

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association preferred, American Red Cross accepted for BLS)
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2+ years of MS/Tel experience required, 5+ years preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• New graduates not accepted
• Epic EMR experience required and must be reflected in employment history
• 2 current supervisor/manager/charge references from the applicable unit within the last year required, travel reference preferred
• Must pass a pre-submission EKG test with a score of 80% or higher

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry-level nursing care including cardiac monitoring and MS/Tel floating support
• First shift includes on-unit orientation (6 non-billable hours)
• Must pass an on-site Day 1 EKG test to continue the assignment
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must have been away for 12 months before being considered as a traveler
• RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for 8-week contracts
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
