Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg/Telemetry RN for a night shift position at a Level 3 trauma center in Bettendorf, IA, requiring cardiac experience and an IA or compact RN license.
Details
- Medical IP unit within a regional hospital setting
- Med Surg/Telemetry patient population requiring cardiac experience
- Manages drips including heparin, cardizem, nitro, non-DKA insulin, and amio
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Float required to local campuses within the same discipline
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active IA or compact RN license required
- IL license required at time of offer
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Prior cardiac experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- New grads accepted
- At least one completed travel contract preferred
- Driver's license required for consideration
- One supervisory reference required, dated within 2 years of employment/contract
Additional Information
- Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
- May float within the same discipline across local campuses
- Work at a facility recognized as a Level 3 trauma center
- Not eligible if employed by the facility within the last 12 months
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Must maintain a taxable address outside 50 miles of the facility
- Required to work 1-2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
- Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving)
- Limited to one day off request during the periods of 11/26-11/30 and 12/23-1/2, regardless of holidays worked
