Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring active NV RN license and prior travel experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a Level II Trauma Center hospital
• Cares for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families
• 3x12 night shift schedule with 36 guaranteed weekly hours
• No standing call requirements, though schedule may include some call shifts
• Floating required to other units up to competency level based on organizational needs
• Schedule may include weekends and holidays with a minimum of 2 major holidays required
• Uses Epic EMR with training available during orientation or test-out option available
• May be required to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period

Requirements

• Active NV RN license required prior to start
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam including identifying and measuring telemetry rhythm strips
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Tele experience required
• Minimum of one recent 13-week travel assignment within the past year required
• Application and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides individualized patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation across the full episode of care
• Coordinates care with other professionals as needed and involves family/caregivers in the care process
• Facility may call off shifts (full or partial) without penalty for low census, up to 48 hours per 13-week contract
• No blocked scheduling allowed; all assignments are for 13 weeks
• Requested RTO must be included at time of consideration and will not be added to the end of the contract
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• A 13-week break is required between assignments for previous Renown travelers before returning
• First-time travelers are not eligible; prior recent travel experience is required
