Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring WI or compact RN license and recent acute care experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts (1900-0730), 3x per week
• Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need
• Floating required as needed
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Cares for patients requiring cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, respiratory support, and wound care
• Supports patient populations including med/surg, ortho, neuro, and substance withdrawal cases

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years required
• Experience must be in the specialty being applied to
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting
• Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central/peripheral line management required
• Experience with cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation and telemetry monitoring required

Additional Information

• Assignment based at a newly built, advanced hospital and wellness center
• Free onsite parking available
• Traveler must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
• First-time travelers will be considered if they have 3 years of recent inpatient med/surg experience
• All references should be omitted from consideration materials
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Traveler will have two attempts to pass the telemetry exam, with a third possible after completing a cardiac interpretation review course
