Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg/Telemetry RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of relevant experience and an active IA or compact RN license.

Details

• Center for Acute Care unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts with an 1845 start time
• Every third weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within the same discipline across local campuses may be required
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• Manages drips including cardiac, heparin, and insulin with some titration

Requirements

• Active RN license (IA or compact)
• BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med Surg, Tele, or Med/Tele required
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 3 years of nursing experience
• EPIC EMR experience required
• One supervisory reference/performance evaluation from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Must not have been employed by the facility within the last 12 months

Additional Information

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• Facility is a Level 3 trauma center
• Holiday coverage required, working 1-2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
• Orientation held every Monday
• Must have a taxable address outside a 50-mile radius from the facility for travel rate eligibility
