Position Overview
This is a rapid-admission unit serving general medical patients and surgical patients awaiting surgery. Nurses must be able to communicate clearly, work independently, and adapt to a fast-paced environment where patient turnover is higher than on a typical medical-surgical unit.
Patient Ratio
- Medical-Surgical RN: 1:5–6
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical / Telemetry nursing.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Strong communication and independent decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage a fast-paced admission unit.
