Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN with at least 2 years of experience and NC or compact RN licensure for a hospital position requiring a passing EKG exam score.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit with a primarily Med/Surg patient population
• Cares for observation patients, respiratory conditions, general medical-surgical diagnoses, palliative/end-of-life/hospice patients, psychiatric observation, diabetic patients, and surgical/surgical observation patients
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00am-7:30pm
• Every other weekend required
• Must work 2 out of 4 holidays
• Floating required across any Cone Health campus as needed
• Uses EPIC EMR

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• LTAC experience preferred
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• Skills preferred include BiPAP/CPAP management, oral suctioning, blood product administration, peripheral and PICC line care, colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube management, wound care/wound vac, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure care, and surgical drain management
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and rapid response/code team activation required

• Travel experience is a plus but not required
• RTO must be submitted at time of application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates within that radius are not accepted
