Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring NC or compact RN license and EPIC experience.

Details

• Med/Surg-Tele unit with primarily Medical/Surgical patient population
• Patient population includes observation, respiratory conditions, general medical-surgical diagnoses, palliative/hospice/end of life, psychiatric observation, diabetes, and surgical/surgical observation patients
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7pm-7:30am
• Every other weekend required
• Must work 2 out of 4 holidays
• Floating required across any Cone Health campus as needed
• Uses EPIC EMR

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• LTAC experience preferred
• Skills preferred include BiPAP/CPAP management, oral suctioning, blood product administration, peripheral line and PICC line care, colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube management, wound care/wound vac, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure management, and surgical drain care
• Current driver's license required for address verification

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care across a range of medical-surgical and telemetry patients including respiratory, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• Involved in emergency response and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, with no local rates applying
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
