Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a TN or compact RN license and prior MS/Tele experience.

Details

  • Med/Surg Combination unit within a hospital setting
  • Level III Trauma Center
  • Serves patients of all ages
  • Uses Omnicell for medication dispensing
  • Meditech EHR used
  • Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Weekend rotation every other week or as needed
  • Call requirements as needed
  • Floating as needed with possibility of floating to similar med/surg units

Requirements

  • Active RN license (TN or compact) required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
  • MS/Tele experience required
  • IV insertion skills required
  • Tennessee Abuse Registry check required prior to start

Additional Information

  • Provide medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care to patients of all ages
  • Professional demeanor expected on the unit
  • Scrubs of any color accepted; casual wear not permitted
  • Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for a travel assignment
  • Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
  • Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
  • Weekly orientation held on Mondays
