Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Tele RN for a 10-bed rapid admissions unit requiring GA or compact RN license, BLS, and ACLS.

Details

• 10-bed inpatient overflow/admissions unit
• General medical and surgical patients, including pre-op surgical patients awaiting transfer
• Rapid admissions unit with faster patient turnover than a standard medical-surgical unit
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for M/S RNs
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call requirements
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling generally not approved

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma hospitals required
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Ability to communicate clearly and work independently
• Work history/resume with no employment gaps greater than 60 days
