Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg-Tele RN for a 12-hour day shift assignment at a Level 1 trauma center requiring BLS, ACLS, and prior high-acuity trauma experience.

Details

• Work in a 10-bed inpatient overflow admission unit
• Care for general medical and surgical patients awaiting surgery
• Rapid admission unit with faster patient turnover than a typical med/surg unit
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for Med/Surg RNs
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call requirements
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is not typically approved

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty required
• Proven experience in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments
• Background in high-volume hospitals managing diverse and severe cases required
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Work history/resume must have no employment gaps greater than 60 days
• Skills checklist, certification card, and Nursys license verification required for consideration
