Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Tele RN for a night shift position at a Level 1 trauma center requiring BLS, ACLS, and a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience.

Details

• 10-bed rapid admission unit serving general medical and surgical patients awaiting surgery
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for Med/Surg RN
• Faster patient turnover than a typical medical surgical unit due to rapid admissions
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call requirements
• Block scheduling is not typically approved
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg-Tele specialty required
• Experience in a high-acuity, high-volume trauma hospital required
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently required
• Work history/resume must not have gaps greater than 60 days
• Candidates must provide a skills checklist, certification card, and Nursys license verification
