Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg-Tele RN with BLS, ACLS, and Level 1 trauma center experience for a fast-paced admission unit.

Details

• Work in a 10-bed inpatient overflow/admission unit within a Level 1 trauma center
• Care for general medical and surgical patients awaiting surgery
• Rapid admission unit with faster patient turnover than a typical med/surg floor
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for M/S RN
• Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call responsibilities
• 4 weekend shifts required per month

Requirements

• Active RN license (Georgia or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg-Tele specialty
• Experience in a high-acuity, high-volume trauma hospital required
• Proven success managing critical, fast-paced, large-scale trauma cases
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently

Additional Information

• Provide care in a high-pressure, inner-city Level 1 trauma center setting
• Handle complex and challenging trauma-related cases
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel rate
