Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN for a Float Pool position requiring an active MA RN license and at least 2 years of Med Surg Telemetry experience.

Details

• Float Pool position based in a hospital setting
• Floats to all Med/Surg Telemetry floors and overflow areas as needed
• 12-hour night shift, 36 hours per week
• Weekend and holiday coverage expected
• Biweekly orientation schedule

Requirements

• Active RN license (MA) required in hand
• BLS certification required (AHA)
• ACLS certification required (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg Telemetry experience required
• Must pass Telemetry Competency Exam
• Must pass ECG/Telemetry and Medications test during onboarding, with only one attempt allowed and an 85% passing score required
• Charge Nurse experience preferred
• Documented professional development activities and knowledge of critical paths preferred

Additional Information

• Provide Med/Surg Telemetry nursing care while floating to like units as census requires
• Testing must be completed within 48 hours of offer via a proctored virtual session, with no opportunity for remediation or retesting
• Required vaccinations include COVID (with booster) and Flu, with medical exemptions allowed
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered; local candidates are not accepted
• Previous Beth Israel Lahey Health employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break between assignments at any BILH facility before returning
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
